Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Secretary General Zhang Ming discussed the entry of Iran and Belarus to the SCO. It has been reported TASS.

“Special attention was paid to the procedural aspects of the entry of Iran and Belarus into the organization, as well as the process of formalizing relations with new dialogue partners (Bahrain, Maldives, Myanmar, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates),” Russia said. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
In addition, prospects for improving the organization “in the context of ongoing changes in world politics and economy” were also evaluated.
