“The Deputy Secretary of State will advance cooperation on a positive economic agenda and support an inclusive economic recovery,” the statement said.
During his visit, Fernandez will meet with senior government officials to discuss measures to overcome the energy crisis, rising inflation and the negative economic impact of the conflict in Ukraine. It will also raise issues of Moldova’s European integration.
After Chisinau, the Deputy Foreign Minister will travel to Paris, where he will “focus on supporting the recovery and rebuilding of Ukraine”.
