The star of the series “Ranevskaya” Marietta Tsigal-Polishchuk shared for the first time in an exclusive interview with “socialbites.ca” her unsuccessful experience of listening to Ilya Khrzhanovsky’s scandalous project “Dow”.
According to the actor, the project about the fate of Lev Landau, realized in the format of an experiment simulating life, became the most traumatic casting in his career.
“As for the most memorable casting … it was probably the casting for Khrzhanovsky’s project Dow, and it turned out that there was actually no casting at all, but a painful and cynical psychological experience,” he admitted.
Tsigal-Polishchuk remembers that no one warned him about the format of the casting, which turned out to be a session with a psychologist. And the psychotherapist herself allowed to communicate that the actress was not ready.
“I was not warned about the format of the audition: in the end, for some reason, I was taken to a psychotherapist, who skillfully began to dig my head, brought me to tears, and it was not about a profession at all. Since that day, such an unpleasant, disgusting feeling has remained that it is as if you were turned inside out in this form and thrown into a hot frying pan. I don’t think that’s true,” said Tsigal-Polishchuk.
