The United Nations (UN) was dissatisfied with the direction in which the dialogue on disarmament was progressing between Russia and the United States. This was expressed at a briefing by the official representative of UN Secretary-General Stephane Dujarric. DEA News.
The meeting of the bilateral advisory commission on the Agreement on the Further Reduction of Strategic Assault Weapons (START) was previously postponed. It was to be held in Cairo from 29 November to 6 December.
“I did not see this message. We have expressed our concern that the general course of the disarmament talks lately is in the opposite direction to what we want. But I did not see that specific message,” Dujarric said when asked to comment on the postponement of the meeting.
