Once again, I thought about fashion trends while dieting. And especially – about body positivity. The popular lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret once again pleases us with fresh ideas: It features XXL models in its advertisements – I saw it on the social media feed just in time.
To put it mildly, it looks unusual.
In order to reduce the hatred of the readers, I will immediately make a reservation: I myself am far from an inch and periodically struggle with extra pounds with varying success. Therefore, what I write next directly concerns me.
The idea that feminists are constantly broadcasting to us from every iron: “Accept yourself as you are!”. And I’m very interested – where is this fine line between self-acceptance and simple depravity? And I guess not where feminists see it.
I am well aware that there are endocrine system diseases. Even if these people want to lose weight. There are girls who are just full, while it does not adversely affect health.
But one thing – some specific features, another completely – fashion. And worst of all, current fashion is trying to popularize basic physical ailments. Any practicing doctor will list all the negative consequences of being overweight, so I won’t go deep.
And I’m so embarrassed – the modern agenda is teaching women to love what they have, instead of motivating them to take care of themselves and put in the effort.
After all, such logic can be developed. I won’t wash dishes, I love my kitchen with a dirty mountain. And I will not wash myself, I accept myself as I am!
And it would be nice, I would be far from the truth, but those same feminists teach us, I’m so sorry, not to shave armpits and legs. As far as I understand, he is against the sexists. Not to be perceived as a sexual object!
Terrible thing! How not to remember the textbook “I will spite my mother – I will freeze my ears”.
Throughout its history from ancient times to the 20th century, humanity has sung about the beauty of the physical body. Self-developing, engaged in physical education, put some effort into beauty. So in the 21st century, feminist Glasha will inform the world that all this is unnecessary. All you have to do is change your attitude and lie down on the couch so you don’t have to force it at all.
But that’s bad luck – you can accept yourself as you are at least three hundred times, but objective parameters will remain objective parameters. This is how a person works – no matter what anyone says, he pulls him to physical perfection. In the right proportions and to physical health.
And of course, whatever feminist Glasha might say, any work on oneself causes exceptional respect. Where a woman focuses on men’s perception is Glasha, the consciousness of manipulating her own body (in my observation, no one, not even a well-groomed woman, is usually more male-centred than feminists).
A normal, mentally healthy person does this for himself. And if you are too weak and immoral to do anything, what is left but to love what exists?
It is not shameful to have any skin color. It is embarrassing to impose your perception on an entire generation, especially if it is critically different from the general idea of aesthetics and is harmful to health.
And it is absolutely shameful to propagate laziness, no matter what slogans it may be.
And now, with a clear conscience, I’m going for a morning jog.
