The case centers on a man who has lived with his wife for twelve years and currently faces arrest in Zaragoza on charges related to raping the nanny who cared for his daughter. He appeared before a judge from Zaragoza Court of Investigation No. 5, where he ultimately conceded to immediate pre-trial detention.
Speaking in the courtroom, the implicated husband, identified as Isidro Villanova, accompanied by his attorney, explained that he had come home intoxicated and mistook the nanny for his spouse when he went to sleep. The individual, identified as JAGF, a 30-year-old man of Nicaraguan origin, asserted that he stopped and apologized once he realized the grave error. He also claimed that the encounter did not involve penetration.
However, the account given by the 16-year-old victim presents a markedly different version, reported by EL PERIÓDICO DE ARAGÓN. According to her testimony, the events began in the evening and the girl’s family resided in Zaragoza’s Oliver district. The girl stated that she expected to stay the night at the home if her husband’s arrival would be delayed. As night fell, the teenager fell asleep, and around 12:30 on November 25 she awoke to what she described as a strong, invasive pressure. She alleges that her father attempted to engage in sexual assault. When she resisted, she alleges that he immobilized her in order to commit rape. At one point she managed to break free and fled to a room with a lock, where she reportedly told him not to be foolish and to leave.
By morning, with the mother of the girl and the accused’s wife both present, he was able to leave the home. The teen says she endured ongoing harassment and threats throughout the night. The case is being investigated by the Family and Women Unit (UFAM) of the Arag High Police Department, as authorities pursue all necessary inquiries into the alleged conduct and surrounding circumstances.
