Tableware, kitchenware, linens, pajamas, air fresheners and now guitars. Zara’s House unveils a special instrument from the Spanish brand, part of a new Music Collection released this Christmas. It is no ordinary guitar. The Inditex group chose the Alicante manufacturer Alhambra Guitars to create a limited and ecological model that would sit at the forefront of the industry. The collection is available in eight flagship stores across Europe and through its network. The price tag sits at 399 euros.
Inditex approached Alhambra last summer with the concept, inviting their workshops to produce a distinctive limited series for the occasion. The response was enthusiastic, and the task was accepted, with Valeria Torregrosa, the managing director of the company, explaining the collaboration from its base in Alcoy. The firm, known for its craft, builds around 45,000 instruments each year in its own facilities.
This collaboration boosts the guitar’s visibility beyond the digital realm. Besides the official website, the Zara Home model is showcased in the windows of the chain’s main outlets. In Spain, the guitars can be seen in Madrid at Plaza de España and Hermosilla, and in Barcelona at Paseo de Gracia. A group of stores known for prominent commercial locations in other cities were also chosen, including Paris, Rotterdam, Lisbon, Milan, and Athens.

The new model was named Nature Fir and follows strict social and environmental sustainability standards. The Alicante company underwent a rigorous certification and auditing process to join Inditex’s official supplier list.
Adaptation was key, with a fast-paced development timeline aligned to the group’s demands. Yet the team held high-quality standards at every level. The company has long prioritized environmental awareness and social responsibility, a value system that predated modern terminology like corporate social responsibility, according to Alhambra’s managing director.

The Inditex guitar is largely constructed from untreated natural spruce sourced from Central Europe, chosen in part because it minimizes the carbon footprint by proximity to Spain compared with potential suppliers farther afield in the United States, Canada, or Central Africa. The finish uses a water-based varnish instead of solvent-based paints. The fingerboard features Indian rosewood, a dense wood that yields refined tonal nuances. Accessories include a padded case and a vegan leather shoulder strap.
Alhambra’s Muro de Alcoy facilities have long pursued similar environmental goals, including models like the Olive Tree guitar to lessen carbon impact and the reuse of ebony from outer sections to reduce waste. This ongoing strategy reflects a broader commitment to sustainable material use and responsible manufacturing in the instrument sector.

From the early days, the company has prioritized a careful chain of custody, ensuring traceability of materials from origin to workshop. This approach covers every step of production, including the inspection of working conditions, guaranteeing the integrity of the wood and the final instrument.
Raw materials and processing are crucial to a guitar’s stability and durability. The team credits a blend of skilled craftsmanship and high-quality materials for the remarkable instrument designs. Each member contributes to creating unique guitars that harmonize traditional technique with contemporary needs, as stated by Valeria Torregrosa.
