In Yekaterinburg, a man who had been drinking became involved in a heated argument and threatened to shoot neighbors. This incident was reported by E1, citing the press service of the city’s Ministry of Internal Affairs.

On September 26, a man appeared at a seventh-floor window of a building on Bardina Street and began issuing threats to people nearby.

A resident in the vicinity called out to those in a nearby garden, declaring, “I’m going to hit you now” and “I’m going to kill everyone.” Eyewitnesses describe the assailant waving a firearm in that moment. Some reports claim he displayed a pistol and a rifle equipped with a sniper scope. Alarmed bystanders dispersed from the garden in fear, while others reported that the attacker appeared to take aim toward a hockey field where children were playing soccer.

Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene and detained the gun owner, a 41-year-old former security services employee. In addition to carbines, authorities recovered a traumatic pistol and more than 80 bullets from his apartment. All weapons were seized for examination.

The detainee is being held at a special detention facility. A criminal case has been opened against him under the charge of “hooliganism using a weapon.”

A separate account notes that a young man previously caused disruption at a church entrance and in academic settings, where intimidation of staff members was allegedly involved, though those details are not part of the core case being pursued in Yekaterinburg.
