Xbox Pride Controller Celebrates LGBTQIA+ Flags with Custom Design

In a move aligned with Pride Month, Microsoft unveiled a new exclusive Xbox Pride controller designed to honor 34 interconnected LGBTQIA+ community flags. The device will be sold through the Xbox Design Lab starting June 9 and will remain available for the year. Microsoft’s goal, as described by company representatives, is to ensure that LGBTQIA+ players have a controller that more accurately reflects their identities. The Pride controller builds on a previous, limited run that was shared with LGBTQIA+ gamers and creators worldwide. Although the initial response was overwhelmingly positive, many community members requested broader accessibility. In response, Xbox expanded the offering, delivering a customizable controller that weaves together 34 distinct community flags, underscoring the diversity and resilience of LGBTQIA+ groups and the intersectionality within them.
