The body of Anna Tsareva, the deputy editor-in-chief at Komsomolskaya Pravda, was found in Moscow, according to a Telegram channel report.

Family members said that Tsareva reported feeling ill with a fever in a phone call on December 10 and did not answer afterwards. The next day, at 35 years old, she ceased communication entirely.

In the evening, the journalist’s relatives reached out to the apartment owner where Tsareva was staying. By about eight o’clock, the landlady and the woman’s father opened the door and discovered Anna lying in bed, unresponsive.

Authorities have launched a police inquiry to determine the circumstances surrounding the death. Preliminary observations indicate the apartment was in order and there were no immediate signs of foul play.

Earlier in Moscow, the city also mourned Lyudmila Shvetsova, a well-known radio presenter for Mayak. Reports suggested that the cause of the 82-year-old journalist’s death was acute heart failure.

In a separate note, Andrei Nemzer, a former literary critic, was reported to have passed away at the age of 67. Public statements by Alexander Arkhangelsky, a literary critic and publicist, were shared via social networks.
