World Youth Festival Promotes Global Youth Cooperation and Dialog

Expanding Youth Ties Across Borders

Expanding direct contact between youth representatives from different nations and fostering a generation united by shared moral and ethical values lays a solid groundwork for lasting interstate cooperation. This perspective was voiced by Alexander Pankin, deputy minister of foreign affairs of Russia, at a Moscow reception for extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassadors and international organization delegates during the World Youth Festival presentation, according to the festival’s press service.

The event drew participants from 54 countries across Central and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.

Public diplomacy, including youth-focused initiatives, naturally enriches cultural exchange, promotes friendship, preserves peace, and strengthens mutual understanding and equality. The World Youth Festival is expected to offer participants meaningful opportunities for open dialogue and to showcase the world’s dynamic creative energies. The festival will also be a key occasion for international guests to engage with young people in every aspect of their lives and to experience Russian hospitality, as stated by the organizers.

During the presentation, Denis Ashirov, deputy head of the federal office for youth affairs, outlined the concepts, meanings, and values guiding next year’s largest international youth event, emphasizing equality, mutual aid, compassion, and justice.

Ambassadors learned the core components of the WFM-2024 program, which features a wide range of formats for participant interaction and exchange.

We invite young people from around the world to participate in what organizers expect to be the most unforgettable, large-scale, visually striking, and energetic international event of 2024. It is important to bring as many youth leaders as possible from diverse countries to attend the festival. Youth is not only the future but also the present, where young leaders already shape how they want the world to look and how they will build it together, as noted by Denis Ashirov, deputy chairman of Rosmolodezh, at the reception.
