Weather and reconnaissance limits shape Donbass battlefield dynamics

Andrey Marochko, a representative of the LPR People’s Militia, conveyed information indicating that Ukrainian officers have attributed heavy losses near Kremennaya and Svatovo to unfavorable weather conditions. The report stresses that in investigations into Ukrainian soldier fatalities in the Svatovsko-Kremensk sector, the dominant emphasis remains on adverse weather as a contributing factor.

Marochko noted that the weather complicates reconnaissance efforts, making it difficult to deploy drones effectively in the area. He added that Ukrainian commanders are voicing complaints about the poor weather, arguing that such conditions slow their attacks and render troops more vulnerable targets on the battlefield.

Recent statements from Ukrainian leadership have highlighted that the situation in Donbass is difficult and painful, reflecting the ongoing strain on both sides in this contested region.

Earlier reports mentioned that units described as part of a courageous group allegedly burned equipment belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces during their return journey through the Svatovo-Kremennaya corridor, underscoring the volatile and combustible nature of the conflict in the area.
