The new season of the international award We are together at the World Youth Festival has been officially launched, as announced by the festival’s press service. Officials highlighted that applications for participation in both the national and international tracks are open for this year’s award cycle. The window for foreign participants will run through May 20, while applicants from Russia have until June 3, 2025.
The international award offers a platform for guests and everyone involved in social change in Russia and globally to showcase the best social enterprises, refine their projects, launch new initiatives, build networks, and connect with peers. It is presented as part of a wide international family of volunteers and civic leaders, emphasizing collaboration and mutual support across borders.
The leadership shared that the award model has evolved this year to broaden participation and impact. Projects can now include personal actions, philanthropy efforts, and mentoring practices in addition to traditional social enterprise entries. This change broadens the range of contributions recognized by the program and invites a wider spectrum of social impact activities to be highlighted on the platform.
For the first time, regions and municipalities will participate by presenting their comprehensive programs for the development of the non profit sector. This regional involvement is intended to reflect local strategies and demonstrate how communities can collectively advance civic initiatives and social innovation across the country.
Looking back at the previous season, the program drew nearly forty thousand applications from Russian participants and attracted applicants from ninety five countries abroad. In the current year, the main objective is to foster unity among like minded people and organizations, aligning efforts and creating a shared sense of purpose for advancing social change together.
