The district’s Investigative Committee subsequently opened a criminal case against the company, citing violations under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for dismantling street water columns in Rostovka and Efanovka. Despite the restoration in those locations, residents in other settlements described ongoing difficulties with access to safe and reliable water.
In Batyr village, a resident described a sharp loss of water service, explaining that a well was dug and water at times flows by gravity from a nearby source. The local water administration is urged to prioritize delivering quality water before any charges are levied on residents. The concern is that water quality and supply conditions can vary, and in the hottest months, the scarcity becomes more acute, leaving residents uneasy about what they are actually consuming.
