In further remarks, Rogov noted that the parade in honor of the victory in the Great Patriotic War was held on Red Square, with the column of military hardware taking part in the ceremony. He observed a lineup that included modern Russian systems such as S-400 air defense complexes, BTR-82A armored personnel carriers, Iskander-M launchers, Yars intercontinental ballistic missile components, and Boomerang armored vehicles. He also mentioned that the vintage T-34 tank stood out as the sole relic from the Soviet era within the procession. This mix of contemporary and historical elements, Rogov implied, served to underline a continuity of military capability while anchoring the event in a lineage dating back to the Soviet period.
