Volga Region Prosecutor’s Office Probes Why SU-1217 Samara–Moscow Returned to Kurumoch Airport

The Volga region prosecutor’s office is examining the reasons behind the return of the SU-1217 Samara–Moscow airliner to Kurumoch Airport. The incident was announced by official channels of the ministry and reported by the aviation authorities. The plane made a safe landing after encountering a technical issue, with 128 passengers and 6 crew members on board. Subsequently, the Kuibyshev region authorities confirmed that the aircraft redirected to Kurumoch and that a routine investigation will determine the exact cause of the malfunction. The Transport Prosecutor’s Office has stated that it will monitor passenger rights during the delay and intervene if necessary to ensure proper treatment of travelers.

Separately, the media reported legal actions involving singer Charlotte who had arrived back in Russia from Armenia. She faces several criminal cases, including one related to alleged rehabilitation of Nazism. The singer was detained by police upon arrival in Saint Petersburg, and her father is arranging legal representation in Samara, where Charlotte is expected to be moved in early December.

Earlier reports indicated an emergency landing by another aircraft in the Orenburg region, which also prompted official reviews of aviation safety and response procedures. Authorities have emphasized that investigations are ongoing and that all relevant safety protocols are being reviewed to prevent recurrences of similar situations.
