Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main administrative council for the Zaporozhye region and the head of the movement “We are with Russia,” claimed in an interview with DEA News that the assault on Melitopol’s civilian infrastructure was previously carried out using American HIMARS missiles. He asserted that the earlier strike originated from the United States’ HIMARS multiple launch rocket system.
Earlier in the day, Ukrainian forces conducted an attack on a railway depot in Melitopol. Preliminary reports indicate there were no fatalities. The regional emergency services in Zaporozhye stated that elements of the power supply network sustained damage as a result of the shelling by Ukrainian troops, and restoration efforts are currently underway.
