Vithas Alicante Partners with Alicante Cruisers Association to Elevate Visitor Healthcare

Vithas Hospitals in Alicante, renowned for their extensive experience in international patient care, stand as a strategic partner for the Alicante Cruisers Association. Their collaboration aims to support the goal of delivering comprehensive health services to tourists and crew members who visit the port of Alicante, reinforcing the city as a welcoming and safe destination for cruise travel.

This partnership reflects a shared commitment to promoting tourism while ensuring the wellbeing of visitors in Alicante. The agreement is expected to significantly enhance the cruise experience by guaranteeing swift access to high-quality medical care, should the need arise, and by coordinating seamless health services with local healthcare providers.

Victoria Verdú, territorial director for the Vithas Group in the Valencian Community, and Francesco Balbi, president of the Alicante Costa Blanca Tourism and Cruises Association, represented the two organizations at the signing ceremony. Their participation highlights the bilateral dedication to patient safety and visitor satisfaction through ongoing collaboration.

“The healthcare offerings extended to our tourists and foreign residents are excellent, high standard, and safe. We are specially trained to adapt to the needs and cultures of international patients and work in coordination with various hospital departments to ensure that both visitors and their families receive outstanding medical attention,” Verdú stated. Balbi explained that the program promoted by Alicante for Cruise Tourism designs, consolidates, and guides destinations and paths of general interest. It also emphasizes other services and products in the local trade, including leisure and shopping, gastronomy, traditions and culture, historical heritage, crafts, industrial tourism, entertainment, sports, and enotourism. Through these activities, the collaboration seeks to create a richer, safer, and more engaging environment for cruise passengers and crew. [Citation: Balbi remarks, Alicante, 2024]
