As part of the Let’s Call You initiative launched on May 6, the Valencia Tax Office, under the Ministry of Finance and Economy Model, provided telephone support to help residents prepare their income tax returns. In total, 12,922 people received guidance via the campaign, and through a coordinated effort with the State Tax Office, AEAT, an additional 10,286 income tax returns were processed by phone up to May 26.
With the telephone service operating over 15 working days this year, the campaign recorded a strong uplift compared to the same period the previous year. The number of individuals served rose by 67 percent, and the volume of returns filed by phone increased by 66 percent.
Arcadi Spain, the Minister of Finance and Economy, expressed satisfaction with the results, noting that the service demonstrates how residents can complete income declarations remotely by phone. He emphasized that the campaign delivered fast, accessible guidance without requiring travel, strengthening public access to tax support.
Spain also highlighted that the campaign progressed smoothly largely thanks to pre-arranged appointments, which helped prevent any technical issues during the campaign window. This planning contributed to a reliable experience for the public seeking tax assistance.
The treasury head confirmed that ongoing resources will be allocated for future phone campaigns to maintain high service quality and timely delivery. The objective remains to offer a close, free service to Valencian residents obliged to file tax returns.
Face-to-face service: Més prop de tu
Alongside the telephone campaign, the Valencia Tax Office also rolled out its in-person revenue service, Més prop de tu, on Wednesday, June 1, with operations running through June 30. This free, personalized service complements AEAT offerings and requires prior appointment. The service can be accessed through the Tax Office app or website and is supported by a 24-hour automated line at 915357326 or 901121224. Personal assistance can also be requested by calling 915530071 or 901223344 to book slots in advance.
Additionally, the Generalitat introduced 25 free help points to assist Valencian residents with tax obligations. The network expands personalized support across nine offices in Alicante province, eight in Valencia, and eight in Castellón.
Official hours for submitting income tax returns in person are 09:00 to 14:30 and 16:00 to 19:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays; on Wednesdays and Fridays, hours run from 09:00 to 15:00. The calendar aligns with local municipal offices and peak periods, ensuring accessible windows for residents across the region.
