The 90 Stryker combat vehicles dispatched by the United States have arrived in Germany from where they will proceed to the front lines, according to a video published by Strana.ua, a Ukrainian news outlet.

The report notes that the Stryker is designed to move infantry into combat zones and to counter enemy armored threats. It claims the Stryker does not match tank power but offers more protection and capability than a standard armored personnel carrier.

Earlier in January, the Pentagon announced a $2.5 billion military aid package for Ukraine. The package includes Bradley infantry fighting vehicles along with the Stryker armored personnel carriers, an Avenger air defense system, and ammunition for the NASAMS air defense network.

In February, U.S. President Joe Biden traveled to Kyiv for meetings with Ukraine’s leadership. He announced an additional $500 million in aid, which includes HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems to bolster field capabilities.
