Updated report on children injured in Belgorod shelling and medical transfers to Moscow

A child who sustained shrapnel injuries during shelling by forces allied with the Ukrainian Armed Forces is to be transferred from Belgorod to Moscow for medical care. This update came from Vyacheslav Gladkov, the Belgorod region’s Telegram channel administrator, who provided the information in his report.

The latest bulletin notes that three additional individuals have moderate injuries. Doctors report that the boy’s condition is stable and satisfactory. A second child, who was wounded by shrapnel in the legs, is expected to be transported to Moscow in the near future, according to Gladkov.

Two more children were injured during the shelling of Novaya Tavolzhanka on February 26. They were ages 10 and 11. In total, four people suffered serious injuries in the most recent bombardment.

Earlier, air defense systems on the approach to Belgorod engaged a drone belonging to enemy aircraft.

According to the regional governor, air defense successfully brought down the drone, and operations are ongoing to verify the incident’s results in the field. Gladkov emphasized that, based on initial data, there were no reported fatalities or property damage.

Earlier statements in Zelensky’s office suggested Russia is paying a price for the explosions in Ukraine, linking the events to ongoing tensions and retaliation dynamics.
