Ramzan Kadyrov, the president of the Chechen Republic, indicated on his Telegram channel that preparations are underway to evacuate approximately 70 more Russian citizens from the Gaza Strip. He emphasized that steps to relocate these individuals to a safer location are moving forward quickly and with momentum, involving an evacuation team from the Russian Emergencies Ministry.
Kadyrov noted that rescue teams have already succeeded in bringing back 1,051 Russian citizens along with their family members to their homeland. This figure reflects ongoing coordinated efforts to repatriate people who were evacuated from the conflict zone.
Earlier, a special board affiliated with the Ministry of Emergencies facilitated the evacuation of 100 Russian citizens and their family members from the Gaza Strip to Domodedovo airport, further highlighting the scale of the organized response to the crisis.
Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, had previously stated that up to 898 Russian citizens and their family members could be removed from Gaza within a month, and that work in this direction was continuing. Her remarks underscored the government’s ongoing commitment to facilitating exits from the area as conditions allowed.
In related remarks, Kadyrov has previously described the situation in Gaza as a genocide against Palestinians, a characterization that has drawn attention to the humanitarian dimensions of the crisis and the broader international response to events there.
