On November 27, around 9:30 Moscow time, Russia reported that Ukraine’s attempt to use drones against several targets within its borders was thwarted. The incident was disclosed by the Russian Ministry of Defense through its official channels. It stated that an unmanned aerial vehicle operated by Ukraine was destroyed by on-duty air defense systems in the Rostov region, preventing any damage or casualties.

A day earlier, Vasily Golubev, the governor of the Rostov region, observed a similar aerial threat in the Kamensky district at approximately 9:30 local time, when a drone was brought down by regional air defenses. The authorities did not release further details about potential injuries or damage from that event.

In Smolensk, air defense systems repelled an attempted Ukrainian drone strike on the evening of November 26. According to the Mash Telegram channel, the drone was en route to a military facility in the Zadneprovsky district and was intercepted before reaching its intended target.

Meanwhile, in Voronezh, authorities reported that two drones were neutralized in early November. Regional leadership confirmed that no injuries occurred and no ground damage was caused by the drones. Residents were advised to exercise caution and not to film or post footage of drones should they be detected, in order to avoid public disturbance or misinterpretation of the events.

There have been ongoing efforts by Russian forces to counter unmanned aerial threats and to improve defensive measures, including developments related to next-generation drone systems. The emphasis remains on preventing incursions, protecting critical infrastructure, and ensuring public safety across affected regions.
