A woman sustained a bite to the pinky finger, and a man suffered a head injury that required medical attention. A nearby witness, a young girl, observed the unfolding events with wide eyes.
The incident occurred around 10:35 am on Monday following the night’s celebrations. A neighbor, alarmed by the raised voices and scuffles, dialed emergency services. The Aragon Superior Police Station’s Citizen Security Brigade responded promptly, along with other units, and began the process of identifying those involved. Three individuals were taken into custody. One of them, a 22-year-old of Nicaraguan descent with no prior criminal record, was among those detained by the officers.
Initial information suggests a highly charged emotional dispute between members of the group, with jealousy cited as a possible trigger. The tension escalated to the point where several people needed to be separated to prevent further violence. An ambulance arrived to treat the injured woman, who had to be examined urgently to prevent the loss of her finger due to the bite. She was transported to Miguel Servet University Hospital in Zaragoza for immediate surgical assessment and care.
Meanwhile, another man required treatment for a head wound and was taken to Nuestra Señora de Gracia Hospital. He was subsequently detained on suspicion of causing injuries. Additional injuries were reported among other bystanders, and one person was suspected of involvement in gender violence while another appeared to be implicated in domestic violence.
All three individuals received legal representation and remained in custody under the supervision of the Investigation Court No. 1 in Zaragoza, which is handling the case on duty.
