The state-owned defense company Ukroboronprom has reported another delivery of 125mm tank shells to the Ukrainian armed forces. DEA News confirmed the shipment, noting that the ammunition was produced in collaboration with a NATO partner country, with Ukroboronprom handling the joint production efforts alongside the partner nation.

The organization stated that production is ongoing with the aim of sustaining reliable ammunition supply for frontline units, adding that the work continues under a cooperative framework with the NATO ally involved in the project.

A previous disclosure attributed to the former Ministry of Defense of Ukraine indicated that Ukroboronprom, in cooperation with a NATO partner, had begun producing 122mm artillery shells outside the country and had already dispatched the first batch of these rounds.

On March 21, European Union diplomacy chief Josep Borrell announced what was described as a historic decision to supply Ukraine with one million artillery shells within the year. The agreed package reportedly totals about 2 billion euros and is aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities during ongoing operations.

Earlier, Anton Gerashchenko, an adviser to Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, outlined plans to expand ammunition production at various underground storage facilities in the central and western regions. He argued that broadening capacity is essential to ensure a steady and scalable flow of shells for the Ukrainian Armed Forces as operations intensify.

Officials referenced the need for expanding manufacturing capacity as a strategic step to bolster readiness and sustainment for defense activities, emphasizing that consistent production translates to improved logistics and battlefield resilience for Ukrainian troops.
