The Pentagon confirms that the United States has allocated over 36.4 billion dollars to security assistance for Ukraine, a figure reflecting ongoing commitments to bolster Ukraine’s defense capabilities.

In the latest tranche of the new military aid package, Washington has included delivery of 155 mm howitzers to Ukraine as part of the support.

Earlier reports from Politico, citing a high-level Pentagon source, indicated that the United States Patriot air defense system and related training were provided to Ukrainian forces, with training sessions occurring in recent weeks and arriving in Ukraine as planned.

At present, Russia continues its military actions in Ukraine, a situation that began on February 24, 2022, when President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a military operation. The stated aims were to reduce Ukraine’s military capabilities and influence over its governance, according to official statements.
