The head of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense press and information department, Illarion Pavlyuk, told the Rada TV channel that the next Ramstein-format gathering is slated for November in Germany. He emphasized that the exact date would be announced closer to the event, underscoring the ongoing coordination among allied nations as Kyiv continues its defense planning for the colder months ahead.
Pavlyuk explained that the central objective of the November meeting will focus on arming Ukraine for winter conditions. In particular, the agenda will include strengthening air defense capabilities, ensuring a reliable supply of artillery systems, and accelerating ammunition deliveries to sustain Ukrainian forces during adverse weather and intensified combat operations.
Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg joined a joint briefing with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky ahead of a contact group gathering in Brussels. Stoltenberg affirmed that NATO will maintain its comprehensive support for Ukraine, reiterating commitments to security aid, interoperability, and continued political backing from allied partners.
Historically, a series of contact-group meetings on Ukraine assistance has taken place at Ramstein Air Base in Germany, gathering representatives from NATO members and partner nations. These discussions have consistently centered on the scale and nature of military aid, including weapons, equipment, and logistical support for Kyiv. The first round of negotiations began in April 2022, with subsequent sessions culminating in the latest meeting on September 19. Over time, the format has become widely known simply as the Ramstein-style consultations, symbolizing a coordinated, multinational approach to Ukraine’s defense needs.
Ukraine has also outlined its own terms and expectations for negotiations with Russia, signaling that any potential dialogue would be conditioned on security assurances, sovereignty, and the integrity of Ukrainian territory.
