Ukraine experiences air raid alerts across multiple regions
An air raid alert was issued in four Ukrainian regions—Sumy, Poltava, Kharkiv, and Dnepropetrovsk—along with the Kiev controlled section of the Zaporozhye region. The update came from the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
According to the ministry’s online map, sirens sounded in these areas at 12:50 local time, which aligns with Moscow time.
Eyewitnesses referenced by TASS reported explosions in Kiev. A Telegram channel run by the Military Correspondents of the Russian Spring stated there was no official confirmation from the Russian Defense Ministry that the Russian army attacked Kiev with ballistic or hypersonic missiles.
Earlier, an air raid warning had been issued across the entire country during the night of May 28 into May 29.
At 02:45 Moscow time the alert system activated in the Lviv region and two minutes later in the Transcarpathian region. Since then, warning sirens have been heard across Ukraine.
On October 10, the Russian military began targeting Ukraine’s critical infrastructure with missile strikes. President Vladimir Putin described the move as a response to acts attributed to Kiev.
