The threat of unmanned aerial vehicle attacks in the Kursk region has been addressed. Local authorities confirmed that the danger has been neutralized, according to a statement from the regional head, Roman Starovoyt.
A public alert was issued: attention was called to end the risk of a UAV strike. The message emphasized that the threat to residents and critical infrastructure was being managed and efforts were underway to secure the area.
In a similar update, the governor of the Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, communicated that the risk posed by drones to the region, which had been present for several hours, had been eliminated. He underscored that the immediate danger of a UAV attack in the region was over and stressed that regional authorities would continue monitoring the situation and provide further information as it became available.
Earlier, Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of Belgorod, reported the cancellation of a missile distress signal affecting Belgorod and the surrounding area. The alarm, which sounded around 04:40 Moscow time on April 2, prompted immediate safety protocols and a subsequent review of the incident by regional emergency services.
Meanwhile, Valentin Demidov, the mayor of Belgorod, issued a statement regarding shelling in the city. He noted that areas within Belgorod were damaged due to shelling by forces associated with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, describing impacts that included damage to residential buildings and vehicles. He stressed that city authorities were coordinating relief and safety measures for residents.
