The White House disclosed that the call occurred on 11 December as part of continuous talks between the two capitals about the evolving security situation and allied responses.
President Zelensky indicated that he was aligning positions with President Biden in anticipation of the virtual meeting of the Group of Seven leaders, in which Ukraine would participate.
