A Tyumen resident reported that a woman renting a room in an apartment building was subjected to severe physical abuse by her partner. This account appeared on the Telegram channel Our City | Divisional, which monitors local incidents.
The incident occurred on November 26 in a building on Profsoyuznaya Street, where the woman rented a room. According to the victim, the apartment owner and his partner lived in the room adjacent to hers, and the man would sometimes assault his partner when alcohol was involved.
On the day in question, the tenant noticed someone tossing her belongings into the toilet. She confronted the apartment owners about the disturbance, which triggered the man’s anger. He began threatening the women, prompting the tenant to call for help. She reached out to friends and clients to contact the police, and one of Tyumen’s residents responded, leading to a police intervention that stopped the immediate threat.
Several hours later, the attacker returned home, subjected the roommate to another beating, and then pressed a knife against the tenant’s neck. The victim recounted the terrifying moment when the assailant burst into her room, held a knife to her throat, and began punching her head, face, and chin. She fled and attempted to shield herself, but the assailant pursued, grabbing her hand and continuing the assault.
Later, when the attacker left the room to confront the roommate, the tenant managed to call for medical help. Both women received care, and medical professionals noted injuries consistent with the assault, including a jaw fracture on the tenant. Authorities opened a criminal case, and the suspect remains at large, evading law enforcement.
In a separate note, a report mentions a separate incident involving a taxi driver in Ufa who assaulted a customer over crumpled banknotes, underscoring a broader pattern of violence that is being reported in various cities.
