In Tyumen, a pregnant woman became the target of a brutal incident at a hostel when three girls and their mother allegedly joined in the attack, according to reports from aif.ru.

The disturbance unfolded in the early hours of October 31. The woman was awakened by a knock on her door, opened it slightly, and in that moment three intoxicated strangers forced their way into her room and turned on the violence against the landlady.

“It was terrifying and disorienting. I was frightened. I have children at home, two of them mine and others depending on me, so I did not scream loudly to avoid alarming the kids, yet the noise still woke them and they became witnesses to what felt like a massacre. Because I was eight weeks pregnant, my only plea to the attackers was to spare my belly, but one of the assailants reportedly suggested I have an abortion.”

The woman later said that at one point a neighbor peered into the hallway, witnessed the aggression, approved the violence, and advised the assailants to continue. After the attack, the victim learned that it was the girls’ mother who had beaten her.

“I had bought a room in this hostel two years ago. Since then there has been ongoing friction with our neighbor. The confrontation intensified this summer. She accused me of beating her and filed a complaint, but the case did not proceed due to lack of evidence,” the Tyumen resident explained.

The attackers left when the woman did not yield to blows and kicks. They then broke into another room, assaulted a second woman, and sprayed pepper spray on a third. The violence subsided only when police arrived at the hostel.

“Five statements were filed with the authorities. I underwent a forensic examination, the records show assault, and there was mention of possible hospitalization due to placenta detachment and bleeding. I declined hospitalization because there was no one to care for the children. The family noted that the attackers have connections and would face administrative punishment at most, with compensation for moral damage unlikely. I am deeply concerned about how this could affect my health and that of my unborn child, especially given the risk of miscarriage,” the Russian woman shared.

According to the report, nearly all residents have had disagreements with the girls’ mother, and one resident recently left the dormitory, selling her room because the ongoing conflict had become intolerable.

Officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Tyumen region stated that investigators have spoken with all parties involved in the nighttime incident. The full circumstances are being assessed; once the investigation concludes, appropriate legal accountability will be assigned to the offender.

Earlier reports mentioned a separate case in which a pregnant woman endured torture by a Russian partner, which was captured on camera, highlighting a pattern of violence against expectant mothers in some communities.
