A boy under sixteen and a teenager of eighteen were taken into custody at a children’s center and Fontcalent prison following their arrest after a violent incident in Alicante involving the theft of a mobile phone. The victim sustained three stab wounds while one attacker grabbed her by the neck, attempting to immobilize and strangle her.
The incident occurred in the city last weekend, on Villajoyosa Street in Alicante’s Albufereta district. A man was attacked from behind; the assailant grabbed the victim by the neck and began strangling her to seize her mobile phone, bringing a sudden and alarming confrontation to the street.

During the assault, an accomplice of the first attacker arrived at the scene and used a sharp object to strike the victim on her head, torso, and right leg. After the phone was taken, the two attackers fled the area, leaving the victim with injuries caused by multiple blunt objects at the scene.
The police reported the robbery as violent and intimidating in nature, and a patrol quickly responded to assist the victim and collect descriptions of the perpetrators. Units from Alicante’s Citizens’ Security Brigade mobilized and, minutes later, identified the suspects as they fled toward the city center from Alicante.

It was learned that the detainees had concealed the mobile phone with a building gardener; authorities recovered the device and returned it to its owner.
