Alicante authorities recently responded to a crime on a public bus, where two young men, aged 23 and 25, were taken into custody after allegedly stealing a passenger’s mobile phone. The driver acted promptly when the incident was noticed, placing the bus in a safe hold to prevent anyone from fleeing as the vehicle came to a stop.
According to the investigation, a passenger alerted the bus driver that two individuals inside the vehicle had stolen a phone from another rider. The driver determined the safest course of action was to halt the bus and secure the doors, ensuring the suspects could not escape while the situation was evaluated. This decisive move helped preserve the evidence and kept other passengers safe during the incident.

The driver immediately contacted the police headquarters to report the theft and request assistance from a patrol unit. National Police officers soon arrived at the scene, speaking with the victim and several witnesses.
