The air defense forces in the Kherson region intercepted two American-made Storm Shadow missiles, reported by regional head Vladimir Saldo in his Telegram channel. He stated that the missiles were aimed at the Henichesk municipal district and were shot down near the village of Popovka as they neared their target. According to his account, the missiles were directed at a school and a medical facility. He added that there were no injuries and no damage recorded as a result of the interception. The same report noted that air defense units had previously been on duty when an unmanned aerial vehicle belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine was detected over the Belgorod region and subsequently destroyed, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. In the morning, Vyacheslav Gladkov, governor of the Belgorod region, indicated that Ukrainian forces had shelled the region 38 times in the preceding 24 hours.
