Two residents were injured during shelling in the Grayvoronsky urban district of the Belgorod region, attributed to actions by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This information was conveyed by regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov through official channels. The report confirms two victims were admitted after the incident.
According to Gladkov, a Ukrainian artillery shell struck a private residence in the village of Gora-Podol, wounding a local woman with a blunt head injury. A second shell exploded near another private home, causing shrapnel wounds to a man in the head and shoulder. The injured were evacuated by local civil defense volunteers and then transferred to medical facilities for urgent treatment. Both patients are currently hospitalized and receiving ongoing medical care.
Gladkov noted widespread damage in the district. Windows of ten private houses in Grayvoron were shattered, while roofs, facades, and fences suffered damage as well. Affected infrastructure included three commercial facilities and one school. In addition, two kamikaze drones damaged two vehicles. In the village of Gorkovsky, destruction affected four houses and one car, and a private residence burned down in the village of Kozinka. Water supply in the district has been restored, but electricity restoration efforts are still in progress, with thirteen settlements currently without power.
The governor’s update underscores ongoing recovery work across the district, including utility restoration and casualty management. The situation remains a priority for local authorities as they coordinate response efforts, assess infrastructure damage, and monitor safety conditions for residents. Emergency services continue to work to secure affected areas and support those in need. Affected communities are advised to stay informed through official channels as restoration progresses and security conditions are assessed.
Earlier communications from Belgorod authorities warned residents of missile danger, and there were reports of explosives being delivered to areas within the Belgorod region, underscoring a pattern of repeated security threats in the region. The authorities reaffirm their commitment to public safety and to accelerating humanitarian and repair operations as soon as conditions allow.
