Two men lost their lives in a traffic crash on the AP-7 highway near Pilar de la Horadada, around 10:15 on Tuesday, according to the Generalitat Emergency Coordination Center CICU. A 23-year-old was injured in the same incident, and detailed information was released by local emergency services.
Firefighters and paramedics arrived at the scene as traffic crews secured the area. Health teams confirmed the deaths of two individuals in the crash.
The surviving young man was taken to Torrevieja University Hospital by a basic life support ambulance for assessment and treatment of his injuries.
The collision involved a car and a minibus and was described by the coordinating body as a frontal crash between the two vehicles.
It is noted that one vehicle was traveling in the opposite direction, from Cartagena toward Torrevieja, after entering the motorway at a roundabout that marks the border between Alicante province and the Region of Murcia, commonly referred to as the monolith area.

The Traffic Security Office continues to investigate the causes and operational conditions of the crash, which occurred on a multi-lane road with a central median during emergency work.
