Two civilians were killed during shelling near the village of Bogatoye in the Zaporozhye region, according to regional emergency services. Reports were provided by TASS in the coverage from the area around the contact line. The settlement lies close to the front line, where military activity has remained high in recent weeks.
Officials stated that on May 6 at 22:30 Moscow time, Bogatoye in the Pologovsky district endured another bombardment attributed to operations conducted by Ukrainian forces. Local authorities confirmed that a residence was destroyed and two residents lost their lives as a result of the attack.
Authorities urged residents living near the contact line to relocate to safer zones as soon as possible to reduce the risk to civilians in ongoing crossfire and bombardment scenarios.
Earlier reports mentioned casualties in other parts of the conflict, including Donetsk, where fatalities were linked to shelling. In another update, the Lisichansk area was cited as experiencing casualties during shelling of forces associated with the conflict, affecting several residents in the vicinity.
