Two Brothers, One Fatal Knife Attack in Picassent: Investigation Opened

In Picassent, a family dispute between two brothers escalated into a fatal incident. The younger or latter aggressor, aged about 38, was involved in a confrontation inside a home that ended with one brother dead and the other taken into custody by the authorities. The incident occurred on Calle Escultor Enrique Galarza, at number 33, around 16:30. After a heated argument between the brothers, the elder struck the other with a knife, triggering a chain of events under ongoing inquiry. Neighbors reported the clash and the immediate call for help, prompting a rapid response from emergency services.

First responders arrived to a scene where a conflict had turned deadly. An ambulance from the region’s SAMU unit and a Basic Life Support team attended the residence to provide urgent medical care. The aim was to stabilize the wounded individual before transport to a medical facility, but the injuries proved fatal before or during transit, according to the information available at the time of reporting.

At the scene, Civil Guard officers detained the other brother, aged 43, on suspicion of committing the homicide. Authorities described the victim’s wounds as serious and potentially fatal, signaling a crime of violent intent that required thorough investigation.

The deceased’s partner, devastated by the news, faced an anxiety episode upon learning of the loss. Medical staff provided initial mental health support to help her cope with the sudden trauma and the shock of the event.
