Two Bashkiria Residents Detained for Robbery and Kidnapping After Impersonating Police

In Bashkiria, two local residents were detained on suspicion of robbery and kidnapping after torturing a man by posing as police officers. This information was reported by the Telegram channel Baza.

The incident unfolded on the evening of February 3 in Tuymazy. The two Bashkiria residents stopped a 27-year-old man’s car, identified themselves as police, dragged him into the street, handcuffed him, and placed him inside a vehicle with counterfeit license plates. They transported him to a nearby village.

There, the suspects held the victim in a basement, subjected him to torture with a hammer, and beat him while demanding money. A few hours later, in the Oktyabrsky district of the republic, the injured man was abandoned from the car.

The suspects were detained four days later, and two criminal cases were opened. Investigators are working to determine all circumstances surrounding the incident.

There was also a separate report about a Russian woman who was beaten and restrained by a lover who did not want the relationship to end.
