In the Valencian town of Torrent, a woman has been detained after allegedly stabbing her sister during a family dispute at a residential address. The victim was struck with a pair of scissors and sustained a stab wound to the side of the torso. The incident occurred around 10 a.m. at the family home.
Emergency services dispatched an ambulance to the scene after receiving a report of a violent altercation. A 45-year-old woman was treated for an open wound along the side under the armpit caused by the implements used in the attack.
The first responders were the medical staff from the Torrent Health Center I due to proximity to the location. Despite the seriousness of the injury, hospital officials later indicated that her life is not in danger, and she was transferred to the General Hospital of Valencia for further treatment and observation.
Two arrests
Police officers from the national force arrived and detained the sister of the victim, identified as the presumptive attacker. Investigators also detained the husband of the sister during the same operation. Both individuals were taken to police facilities for questioning and processing as the investigation continues.
