TVE keeps rolling out its slate for the early months of 2024. Alongside Bake Off: Famosos al baked and Mira qué baila, the public broadcaster is preparing a new Spanish remake of Jeopardy. After a brief stint with Antena 3 in 2007, Vertele confirms that the show will return to Spain, marking a notable relaunch for the format.
According to the reported plans, the show will come back to Spanish screens. Paco de Benito, a familiar face from formats like Pasapalabra and Alta Tensión, will make his debut as a television presenter with this new venture.
While the exact air window has yet to be finalized, TVE has already penciled in the production schedule. Filming is set to take place at the Sant Cugat production center, near Barcelona, spanning from December through late January.
In this installment, Jeopardy expands TVE’s competition lineup for the season, joining The Hunter, Saber y Ganar, and Cifras y Letras. The network has also announced the presence of Aitor Albizúa in related coverage. By contrast, La 1 continues to broadcast reruns of El comodín, with no renewal for fresh episodes on that front.
