Authorities report that the National Police Minor Group (GRUME) had already detained individuals near the training center. A third teenager soon after the incident was identified as a 14 year old Honduran boy who attends the same school as the victim. Investigators are exploring whether any of the youths belong to a group with connections to a Latino faction.

Meanwhile, the injured man is making steady progress at Doce de Octubre hospital. After receiving aid from Samur-C Civil Protection teams, he was transported by ambulance to the hospital where doctors worked to stabilize him. The patient presented a penetrating abdominal wound with heavy bleeding that required surgical intervention.

Truths

The event began with a confrontation on Thursday around 1:00 pm outside Vedruna, a well known school located on Espinar street number 41. Reports indicate a group of students asked the victims for the shoes they were wearing, and when those shoes were refused, tensions escalated.

In a short time the boy was stabbed, and all three suspects fled the scene. Sanitary ambulances from Samur-Civil Protection arrived, established a triage area, stabilized the victim, and transported him to the hospital. A spokesperson for Emergencies Madrid confirmed the situation to Europa Press.

National Police officers arrived to collect evidence and take statements. One eyewitness mentioned that at least one attacker may have ties to a group identified as Dominican Don’t Play (DDP), a detail still under review by the Information Brigade.

School wants calm

The Vedruna School Board stated that one of its students was attacked at the campus while middle school students were leaving their classrooms. Emergency services were called at around 1:00 pm, and responders included the National Police, SAMUR, Civil Protection, and the Municipal Police.

Officials noted that the attacker used a knife against a student, and several youths are under investigation with identities not yet officially confirmed. There is confirmation of the immediate arrest of one person, and the ongoing inquiry by the National Police, with cooperation from central, national, and local authorities from the start to clarify facts and take appropriate educational and disciplinary measures.

Vedruna’s leadership also emphasized that teachers and administrative staff acted to restore order at the school and on surrounding streets.

The school expressed relief that such incidents remain uncommon and called for calm while everyone within the community works to resume normal activities as soon as possible. Police presence around the center will continue in the coming days to monitor entrances and exits and ensure student safety.

In closing, the school conveyed deep sorrow for the events and pledged full support to the affected student and his family. It also reiterated a commitment to respect for all members of the school community and a resolve to avoid violence through a robust Education Action Plan, a Coexistence Plan, and the Internal Regime Regulation as part of ongoing work at the center.
