Tragic Road Incident Involving a Family in Irkutsk Region
A resident of Novonukutsk in the Irkutsk region died after a road accident that involved a horse, his wife, and their young daughter. The incident occurred when a horse suddenly appeared on the road, colliding with their vehicle and sending it into a ditch. The family was traveling home from Irkutsk to their village when the mishap happened, according to a report shared on a social media channel run by Babr Mas.
The man, identified as Ildar Sufyanov, and his wife Elena, along with their daughter, were in the car at the time of the crash. Paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the head of the household to the hospital with injuries described as swollen legs, a damaged nose, a bruised chin, and another injury to the eye. Elena and the child were also assessed at the hospital, with initial indications suggesting that the husband would survive, but Elena died a week later while in hospital care.
Medical staff later informed the relatives that the injuries sustained by the man were life-threatening. Subsequent autopsy findings, however, indicated a different cause of the fatal outcome. It was determined that the victim choked on blood because a tracheostomy tube had been inserted too deeply, which impeded his ability to breathe. This new information has prompted additional questions about the medical procedures performed during his treatment.
The wife provided a formal statement to the police following the incident. At this time, there has been no public update from the authorities regarding the investigation or any findings beyond the initial reports from medical staff and the autopsy results.
Earlier reports had suggested that the man may have died from complications associated with a circumcision performed at a private clinic, but those claims were not corroborated by current medical evaluations. The evolving details of this case underscore the complexity of road accident fatalities and the importance of thorough investigations into both the accident itself and subsequent medical care.
