The floodwaters entered with brutal force, pulling the sleeping man from his room as the living area, where a television flickered, remained lit at 1:45 in the morning, according to municipal officials.
The deceased, whose identity was not released at the time, died following the crash. Neighbors who witnessed the storm’s impact and immediately alerted emergency services were unable to rescue him.
