Earlier, a separate collision in the western part of Moscow involved a bus, leaving four people injured. Preliminary reports indicate the driver of the Nefaz regular bus on Veernaya Street lost control and struck a traffic light.
As a result of that incident, four passengers on the bus required medical care, and all were taken to hospitals for evaluation and treatment.
State traffic inspectors are actively clarifying the circumstances surrounding each event as investigations proceed.
There was also a report of a head-on crash in Moscow involving a former Mercedes vehicle, with the car reportedly overturning.
