A Tomsk resident was caught by authorities for illegally selling alcohol, with eyewitnesses recording bottles being lowered to customers using a rope from a window. A video of the incident was published by the district police press service.
In the footage, a woman is seen lowering a canister tied to a rope from the window of a second-floor apartment. According to preliminary information, buyers contacted the merchant in advance, then arrived at the agreed time, poured alcohol into their own containers, and placed the money for the purchase in a bag before leaving with their goods.
During the search at the suspect’s residence, investigators found containers containing 18 liters of alcohol.
The violator had already paid an administrative fine for illegal alcohol dealing a year earlier; now a criminal case has been opened under the title “Illegal retail sale of alcohol and alcohol-containing food products.”
The person is described as formerly a pensioner from the Leningrad region, with burns still remembered from the moonshine era associated with prior illicit productions.
