In the Tomsk region, a 24-year-old local resident accused of double murder and car theft, along with a 35-year-old accomplice, is set to face trial on charges of abetting a crime. This information was released by the press office of the District Attorney’s Office.
The events took place in October 2021 in the Pervomaisky district. During a gathering with friends, one of the individuals left the scene, and a friend of the accused discovered that his phone had vanished. The situation prompted the two suspects to approach the home of the man they suspected of taking the device.
Inside the residence, the 24-year-old man fatally stabbed the victim, inflicting at least nine blows that caused death on the scene. In an effort to conceal the crime, he then attacked another witness with at least 13 stabs. Following the killings, the suspects allegedly wrapped the bodies in a carpet and loaded them into the murdered landlord’s car.
Law enforcement authorities subsequently detained the two men after a period of investigation and pursuit.
Earlier reports note that the Russian suspect faced allegations related to attempting harm against a man who insulted a girl who had rejected him.
