In Moscow, late October into early November is shaping up to be warmer than the typical pattern. Forecasters expect temperatures to climb to as high as +7°C on Monday, November 6, according to data from the meteorology center and its chief analysts.

During the day, temperatures are forecast to range from around plus 2 to plus 7 degrees. Preliminary calculations indicate that this warming trend could extend through the start of November, bringing a notable shift from the recent conditions.

Analysts note that the overall temperature backdrop for this period will run about 4–5°C above seasonal norms. Even as a milder spell takes hold, the current week is still expected to feel chilly, with daytime averages about 4°C below what is typical for late October.

This trending warmth comes after a spell of brisk winds, sleet, and near freezing conditions, which have dominated the capital in the days leading up to the weekend. Tatyana Pozdnyakova, a chief specialist with the Moscow Meteorological Bureau, provided the outlook for the coming days, underscoring the strength of the wind and the shifting air masses.

Wind speeds in the city are expected to reach up to 14 m/s, a level that can intensify the chill for anyone outdoors and influence daily activities around the capital.

Earlier forecasts from Pozdnyakova indicated that on Saturday, October 28, atmospheric pressure in Moscow would dip to a record low for that date, around 730 mm. This pressure drop coincided with the unsettled weather that began the sequence leading into the warmer spell described above.
