Three teenagers were arrested early Monday morning on allegations of sexually assaulting a woman inside Malagueta in Málaga. Police sources say agents on a radio patrol spotted one of the suspects while responding to reports of a breach on the beach and observed how one of the individuals appeared ready to act. A witness called in via phone, describing how the trio led the victim to a secluded stretch on the sand, raising serious concerns about an attempted gang assault. Complaints have been filed against the three youths in connection with the crime of coercion with violence and intimidation, as the group allegedly sought to seize the victim’s bag before departing.
The incident occurred around 4:00 a.m. on the morning in question. It is reported that the young woman had gone out with friends earlier that night, and after spending time at a nightclub in La Malagueta, she met a Moroccan-born man and agreed to take a walk with him. It is alleged that the man tried to exploit her intoxicated state, but the victim resisted his advances. The other two suspects then joined, and the group allegedly escorted her to a more isolated area on the nearby beach near Antonio Martín. A witness, also young, observed the events and alerted authorities in real time, enabling the National Police radio patrol to locate the group promptly. Law enforcement officers were surprised to find one of the suspects already engaging with the victim as another prepared to act. The scene prompted a rapid response and the trio was detained shortly after the incident was reported.
Following the victim’s statements and the recovery of her stolen bag, police moved to collect further evidence and initiated the sexual assault protocol. The investigation continues as officers coordinate with medical staff at the Mother and Child Hospital for the appropriate examination and care of the victim. At this stage, formal charges are being prepared against the three youths, with authorities emphasizing ongoing inquiries to determine the full scope of the case and any additional potential victims. The case has drawn attention to safety concerns around late-night social scenes and beach areas, reinforcing calls for vigilance and immediate reporting of any threats to personal safety.
